No Pigeons Have Shat Upon It

The Con

To Struggle Against World Terrorism (also knows as the Tear of Grief) is a statue commissioned by the Russian Government and presented to the citizens of the Republic of the United States on September 11, 2006 to memorialize the victims of the 9/11 attacks.  The 10-story brown, beige and silver sculpture stands on a peninsula overlooking Bayonne harbor in New Jersey.

It is one of the ugliest sculptures/monuments/statues in either the Free or Third World.  The Tear of Grief was supposed to stand in Jersey City but was rejected on sight by the powers that be.

So as we approach the ten-year anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks, we have no replacement for the Twin Towers.  The country is divided over what action should have been taken over the act of war on the worst Tuesday in recent memory.  And there are those who think the whole al-Qaeda operation was an inside job by some combination of the Israeli/Jews, CIA and the Bush Administration.

It appears the only major national memorials to those murdered are a plaque at Ground Zero, a plaque and benches in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, overlooking the spot where the passenger revolt put United Airlines Flight 93 into the ground instead of another symbol of our republic i.e. The Capitol or the White House.

Oh yes, and a statue from a former/newly engaged enemy that is so ugly no pigeons what shat upon it.
