Fidel Likes The Jews

The Con

I am in a real Old Testament wrath of the Almighty mood today, gang. Fire. Brimstone. Frogs. Vermin. Death of the firstborn. SMOG! The End of Days upon us. Armageddon, the return of Krishna, Moshiach, Buddha is pissed, dogs and cats living together in sin whatever, the final battle for the planet has come. It is time to chose sides, buy a rifle, move to Montana build a bunker and do the Randy Weaver thing sans all the weird hatred and shit.

Have I been using acid again? No, although I have been watching The Hangover on Cinemax at bit too much. What then, you may wonder, has put me in the 2012 is going to kill us all frame of mind? It’s not a what but a who. A singular individual, who lives on an island, has a fondness for fatigues and sports a splotchy silly beard: Fidel Castro.

Yes, that commie bastard who’s held the island of Cuba hostage since 1959 and remains the dictator Americans love to hate. His continued presence on the planet is rather depressing, if only because he’s maxed out his comic potential. However, it isn’t the reason I feel the need to look for a Red Hefier. Rather, it’s a bit of an interview he gave to journalist Jonah Goldberg.

From STRATFOR:

…Castro invited Goldberg, an influential member of the Jewish lobby in the United States, to his hacienda for an interview in which he spent a great deal of time criticizing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for his insensitivity to the Jewish people and their history. “I don’t think anyone has been slandered more than the Jews,” Castro said. “I would say much more than the Muslims. They have been slandered much more than the Muslims because they are blamed and slandered for everything. No one blames the Muslims for anything.” He added: “The Jews have lived an existence that is much harder than ours. There is nothing that compares to the Holocaust.” Then, Castro asked Goldberg and Sweig to accompany him to a private dolphin show at the National Aquarium of Cuba in Havana. They were joined by local Jewish leader Adela Dworin, whom Castro kissed in front of the cameras.

Is this the same Fidel Castro who received his early inspiration from Mein Kampf? The same Fidel Castro who, according to an October 23, 2006 BrookesNews.Com article:

In January 1966, at Havana’s Tri-Continental Conference attended by communists, revolutionaries and worldwide terrorist organizations, a resolution was passed calling for the breaking of all treaties with Israel, total economic and cultural ostracism of Israel and its expulsion from all international organizations. In November 1966, Castro opened more than a dozen guerrilla-training camps under the direction of KGB Col. Vadim Kotchergine where Palestinians were trained. And in 1967, after the Six-Day War, Cuba’s U.N. ambassador, Richardo Alarcon — portrayed as a “moderate” by the U.S. media — called the war an “armed aggression against the Arab people…by a most treacherous…surprise attack in the Nazi manner.”

In October 1973, Castro broke diplomatic relations with Israel after he deployed thousands of Cuban soldiers including helicopter pilots and tank crews to fight alongside the Syrians during the Yom Kippur War. How many Israelis did Castro’s soldiers kill? To insult Israel and the Jewish people even further, Castro gave the PLO an expropriated Jewish community center in Havana. On Nov. 14, 1974, Yasser Arafat was enthusiastically received in Havana and given Castro’s foremost decoration, the Bay of Pigs Medal.

Castro loves the Jews. The Aryan Brotherhood Prison Gang has Jewish members. Stalin is a friend of the Jews (According to the Rosenberg’s).

Come to think of it, Montana might not be safe enough. I’m beginning to think somewhere around Nome might offer the proper protection…
