My Favorite 15 Albums (This Week) In 15 Minutes

The Second Essential Scary Truth

Several days ago, fellow blogger Kiko Jones asked me, via Facebook, to name my favorite 15 albums (this week) in 15 minutes. Of course, your occasionally intrepid blogger started to over think the challenge to such a degree I had to put the idea down until I could quiet my mind; a task accomplished with a fair amount of Bulliet Bourbon.

Without further over thought, here is my list:

The Velvet Underground – White Light White Heat (Verve 1968)

Van Morrison – Astral Weeks (Warner Bros. 1968)

Miles Davis – Kind of Blue (Columbia, 1959)

John Coltrane – My Favorite Things (Atlantic Records, 1961)

Charlie Parker – Bird With Strings (Verve, 1947)

Husker Du – New Day Rising (SST, 1985)

Bob Seger – Beautiful Loser (Capitol, 1975)

Richard and Linda Thompson – Shoot Out The Lights (Hannibal, 1982)

Foetus – Nail (Self Immolation/Some Bizarre, 1985)

Bob Dylan – Blonde on Blonde (Columbia, 1966)

Motown – A Cellarful of Motown (Polygram UK, 2002)

Stooges – Funhouse (Elektra, 1970)

Alison Kraus – Now That I’ve Found You (Rounder Records, 1995)

Tom Waits – Raindogs (Island Records, 1985)

John Prine – Sweet Revenge (Atlantic Records, 1973)

Are you up for the challenge? Send me your favorite fifteen albums and I’ll post them here!
