Random Thoughts On A Bad Neck Day

Post Urban Culture

I’ve spent the last three days flat on my back, trying to allow my ever so slightly out of joint neck to heal. I broke a bone in my neck at a wrestling clinic at the University of Michigan when I was 16. Fortunately, I walked away from the injury.

At the time, I thought it was an honor to be thrown off the top of my head by a man who won a gold medal in the Olympics. Had I known my neck was going throw itself out every three or four weeks, I don’t think I would have worn my broken neck as a badge of honor.

The upside to being flat on my back was being able to catch up on all my reading and surf the Internet looking for anything interesting. Today, I can upon this Facebook post:

You’re a really crappy boyfriend… I haven’t
seen you in weeks, you haven’t called, or texted me.. You have no pictures of me on your profile.. And you haven’t
paid child support for our 24 year old son in 5 years. I’m not sure how much longer I can do this.

How can you not smile?

More missive tomorrow gang!
