There are three major streets here in the eastern part of the Valley of the Sun named after various pioneers/settlers. From south to north:
McKellips Road
McDowell Road
McDonald Road
Yes, Phoenix has a major Scottish/Protestant influence, although I have yet to find a cowboy wandering around in a kilt. However, this may explain why it is impossible to find a good pint of Guinness in this burg no to mention a dark Irish bar.
