Want to Go to Mumbai?

Overheard in a New York Bar

“I want to take you to Mumbai for dinner.  I will pay for everything,” the 50-something businessman said.  “I will get you a separate hotel room as well.”

The line was so comical I had to walk away.  Katie, the blonde bartender came up to the service bar and shook her head.  “Did you hear that,” she asked me.

“Like I believe he’s just taking me to this wonderful, lovely place for dinner and to walk me back to a different hotel.”

“Miss, miss,” the man called out.  “Perhaps you’d like to go to Singapore?”

You have to love a man with a back-up plan.
