A quick thought for today on the subject of press leaks.

Raphael Palmiero, former first baseman for the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles has just been inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame.

After wagging his finger at Congress and saying he never used steroids only to be out by a drug test three months later, I hope Raphy enjoys this honor.  It’s the only Hall of Fame he’s ever going to see himself in.

How was Palmiero’s positive test put into the public eye?  You got it, by a press leak.  Hmm, I wonder who did that?

Quick note to those who are called to testify about anything on the Hill:  lying to Congress is bad.  The members of that body tend to take it to heart.
