The First Essential Scary Truth

A question I feel needs asking after talking to a lovely couple who work for the Doctors Without Borders NGO who are billeted in Liberia.

Liberia was overthrown in a military coup by a Master Sergeant named Samuel K. Doe.  Jesus, talk about cheap.  Even Colonel overthrew Libya, the most cut-rate country in the otherwise General/Admiral driven coup culture of various parts of the world.

To the Liberian rebels I ask this question: why not, at the very least, a First Lieutenant?
