Advice On The New Year From Liz Georges

The Second Essential Scary Truth

As we embark on going about our lives on this the second day of 2013, here’s some advice from my friend Liz Georges I took to heart.  Enjoy!

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, largely because I find they mostly end up being good intentions that go nowhere and induce needless and excessive guilt.

Every day is the start of a new year. Wake up. Decide what you want. Pursue it with the tenacity of a predator.

If something in your life no longer serves you, cut it out with surgical precision.

Love so much and so hard that you think you might burst. Banish the word “hate” from your lips.

Live in a big world where everything is possible and know for a goddamn fact that you can make anything happen.

Succeed graciously.

Fail spectacularly.

Eat when you’re hungry and sleep when you’re tired. You don’t need a resolution.

Just wake up every day and live your life like you mean it.
