According to Chris Hansen, reporting for Dateline NBC, Detroit is in bad shape. He goes so far as to claim the city looks like Sarajevo from the air.
As an expat and native of the city of Detroit, I find myself heartened by description. It is major a step up for Motown. People used to claim the city looked like Beirut.
